Steve's journey to The Church at West Creek began close to home. Steve came to trust in Christ at a young age through the witness of his parents and the ministry of Old Oak Bible Church. While strong in his faith when he went to college, going into church ministry was not on his radar. In the midst of his pursuit to become the next big sports agent, Steve began to sense desire to become a pastor. Since then, he's received a B.A. in History from Malone University and a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was humbled to serve as a pastor of the church where he grew up, and was instrumental in the merger that birthed The Church at West Creek. Steve lives in Middleburg with his wife, Kate, and their son, Jack. He enjoys taking his wife on dates, exercising, drinking coffee, being a mediocre guitar player (his words), and being a cautiously optimistic Cleveland sports fan.
OUR LEADERSHIP
The Church at West Creek is elder-led, congregational-ruled, and deacon-served.
Elders, pastors, overseers: the Bible uses these terms interchangeably to refer to the same office. At its heart, this is the position of a shepherd. Together, by God's grace and under the Chief Shepherd, these men lead and care for Christ's flock among them (1 Peter 5:2).
